Major League Lacrosse 2017 schedule announced

John Grant, Jr. Matt Bocklet
Major League Lacrosse announced the schedule to the 2017 season this month. Each team on the 2017 schedule will host 7 home games and make 7 road trips while having 2 bye weeks during the 15 week season. Each club will also have a "double-header" week, with 2 games in the same week.
The 2017 Major League Lacrosse season will kick off with 4 games on Saturday, April 22 including a matchup between the defending champion Denver Outlaws, featuring 2016 MLL Rookie of the Year Jack Kelly, visiting the Charlotte Hounds

The Outlaws won the MLL Championship in spectacular fashion last August with a 19-18 come from behind victory against the Ohio Machine to earn their second Steinfeld Trophy in franchise history (2014, 2016).

The Machine will battle the Atlanta Blaze on opening day in Atlanta. Ohio's John Grant Jr. set an MLL record, scoring 10 goals in one game last season after being traded from the Outlaws to the Machine on trade deadline day.

At the age of 42 and recovering from knee surgery, Grant Jr. has not yet announced if he will return for a final MLL season. Denver will host the Blaze in the traditional Fourth of July game at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.
